Piecing together the history of Sheffield medics in the Great War
A retired doctor is appealing for people across Yorkshire and Derbyshire to share family stories, archives, real life accounts or pictures of their ancestors who were part of the Sheffield medical effort in the First World War.
RAT Group Half Away Day
On Tuesday 10th December the RAT Group attended their half away day, which took place in the CATCH home lab. Here they had the privilege of Dr Jonathan Boote coming along to talk about PPI in research, how PPI is dealt with by funders and some other advice and practicalities around PPI principles and good practice. This was followed by a talk by Professor Pam Enderby entitled "Slugs in Knickers and Daleks" - a very amusing yet inspiring talk about her career training to become a Speech and Language Therapist. Dr Richard France then shared with the group what the future holds for CATC

New staff
We have had two new starters in the past month.  They are Robin Chatters (systematic reviewer) and Daniel Pollard (health economics and modelling).  Robin will be working on an HTA short report of interventions for cannabis cessation.  Daniel will be working on modelling in support of an STA submission to NICE.
