Technology: suicide watch for prison inmates
In selected US prisons a revolutionary technology is being used that measures prisoners breathing rate and heartbeat. This technology could save lives without even touching the prisoners. It is kept on a wall or ceiling meters away and could help tackle suicide rates in this population.The sensor is funded by the US Department of Justice and aims to help prevent self harm. But why? I hear you ask!
